Quilt Registration

General Guidelines

All levels of quilters are invited to submit their work.

Any quilt item submitted by a current Pride of the Prairie guild member that has not been shown at a previous Pride of the Prairie show will be accepted. 

Items do not have to be completed at the time of registration, but they must be completed when they are dropped off on the Friday before the show.

Members may enter as many quilts as they would like, however, the number of quilts displayed will be based on space availability.

Deadline

The deadline for quilt entry forms is January 16, 2014.

POPQ Registration Form (excel) and General Instructions and Quilt Sleeve Instructions (pdf) are now available.  NOTE:  The form has very small margins and you may need to choose to print on one page.

Check-In / Check-Out Procedures

Check-in begins on Friday at 6 pm.

IMPORTANT:  Fold your quilt so that the label is toward the bag opening and easy to see without having to remove it from the pillowcase.  This will keep the line moving!

A Pre-Screener will verify the following:

  • EACH quilt and its coordinating pillowcase must have a quilt label sewn or pinned on with the quilt name, the owner’s name, address, phone number.
  • If a pillowcase is missing, the guild member will have to purchase one at a local store & return.
  • Quilts to be hung from a rack must have a sleeve sewn or pinned on the back (exceptions are very small quilts that will be pinned directly onto rack muslin sheets, wearables or misc items.)
  • Once all the required items are verified, you will proceed to the Check-in Table.

Pick-up will begin on Sunday, at approximately 5 PM. 

No members will be allowed to enter the gym to pick-up quilts after the show. 

The take down committee will have designated volunteers to bring your quilts from the gym to the checkout table when you come to pick up your quilts. 

Once you have signed out your quilts, you will be given a receipt that may be checked as you exit to ensure you have picked up the right quilts.
